Conservation is behind everything we do.

The FUDR mission is to protect and restore the Upper Delaware River watershed for the benefit of local economies, communities, people, and the environment. Our instructors and volunteers are passionate about conserving our natural resources. Campers get a solid foundation in the reasons why we are so dedicated to preserving our environment and keeping our streams healthy. Our on-river lessons are a great way to introduce campers to conservation, the importance of clean water, air, and environment, and how it all ties into our beautiful sport and the surrounding communities. Catch and release fishing is a key part of our lessons. Campers learn the proper technique to safely and gently release trout with as little handling and disruption as possible. We pass our passion for fly fishing and conservation on to our campers who carry it with them for life.

We are especially proud of two 2023 camp graduates Jacob and Justin Oathout. Jacob and Justin graduated from high school this past June. Their time at camp has inspired them to study environmental science and pursue a career with the DEC (Department of Environmental Conservation) to protect our waters and lands for all to enjoy.

Click here to meet Jacob and Justin. We wish them the best and brightest future! See you on the river!
